About Awareness Training

With Moving Wisdom you can:

  • regain the natural flow of ease in motion
  • learn to move freely without pain
  • improve ability to be present in all your actions
  • establish balance in your life's challenges and changes
  • trust your intuition and learn to follow your heart

Each session is shaped by your intention and an analysis of your movements in a safe and secure environment.  The session is created to teach you the movement skills necessary to take steps toward your goal.  You will be shown methods to refine and clarify you attention in action.  The simple movements require flexible, focused, free flowing attention.  I will ask you to describe your experience in motion and teach you how to integrate this into your life. There are opportunities for rest within every session. Although I will assist you by guiding your attention, you will be actively motivating and supporting yourself, with or without aid of equipment, throughout the session. You will receive a short movement practice to do on your own between sessions.

Moving Wisdom is the result of over 25 years of study and practice of movement as a vehicle for living to your fullest potential. It is an integration of knowledge gained from Laban Movement Analysis®, Bartenieff Fundamentals®, therapeutic Pilates, Movement Pattern Analysis®, dance theater, meditation and intuitive archery. After several years of teaching, my students came up with two words, Moving Wisdom, to distinguish my method from other movement practitioners.
